Your mother is correct.Looked a little average, but it's just pad work.
We'll see. Usually sons aren't as great as their dads.
My mom (yes, my mom) once told me the reason why Chavez Jr sucks at boxing is because he has never starved or had to feed his family at a young age like Julio Cesar Chavez did when he was coming up.
I suspect this might be the case for this young lad, we'll have to wait and see.
Hagler said "it's hard to get up early and train when you're sleeping in silk sheets" and that's for guys who came up poor and then made big money. These kids have only known big money. I've yet to see a second generation boxer come close to their fathers. Even if the skill is there, they don't know how to dig deep.Comment

This right here, he achieved far more than alot of boxers who really give it a go at this sport.
He did well for himself but he will always be measured against his father and will never measure up so people will always call him a failure when that is far from teh truth.Comment

Kid won't make it
At this age Pacquiao was a starving kid of the streets sparring men getting his head knocked about.
To be the real deal in boxing you have to be willing to die in that ring. point blank period. When the going gets tough you have to have a mentality that there is no way out.
You can have all the skills in the world which will help you...but at some point you'll have to go go to that deep dark place.Comment
