Josh Warrington plans to make a name for himself in the United States and unify the featherweight division after upsetting the odds to retain his IBF belt against Carl Frampton in Manchester. The Leeds fighter scored a unanimous points decision on the first defence of the strap that he won against Lee Selby in May.

          Good fight, i like Warrington.

Seems like he doesn't want any easy touches and wants big fights. When he won the title, many expected him to hold the best hostage in Leeds because he sells out regardless of who he fights, but he defending against Frampton in his first defense.

Wow! Those two are the only title holders willing to prove themselves in the division. Grj please?! Couldn't run away fast enough. Santa cruz wouldn't be smiling at all thinking of getting in the ring with either one. Just keep the emergency room staff on alert when Valdez and Warrington go at it. It should be brutally beautiful!

I think he'll beat Valdez and LSC. Too much tenacity, pressure, durability and fitness for them both.
Russell Jr is the one who will probably be too fast and skilled for Warrington, but saying that, I certainly wouldn't count him out either. His boxing skills and underrated punch, plus his aforementioned attributes can match anyone in the division.
