Lopez's just a gate keeper. This fight will be exciting while it lasts. 8 rounds at the best..

Thurman`s long layoff could be an issue here. I see Lopez giving him some trouble, Thurman by UD.

PBC does put out some good fights. Just in December of this year we had Charlo vs Korobov, Charlo vs Harrison,Wilder vs Fury, Hurd vs Welborn, Stevenson vs Gvozdyk, and before that Danny Garcia vs Shawn Porter and Mikey Garcia vs Easter. Add to that Santa Cruz vs Mares, Charlo vs Trout, Stevenson vs Jack, Lara vs Hurd, Wilder vs Ortiz, and Spence vs Peterson.

Tell me, what other promotional company did better than that? The only mis-match you could argue for would be Spence vs Peterson, but on paper it looked good because Peterson beat Danny Garcia in many people's eyes.

In Thurman's defense, (as much as it pains me) Lopez was considered a credible opponent for Canelo a few years back as NOT a tune-up, and at the time Lopez had been a career 140 pounder.

Thurman is not Floyd, he won't take the current #2 pfp guy like Floyd did with JMM. Lopez is very suitable for a tune-up, and may give Thurman a good fight.
