I was privileged enough to witness Mares get knocked out by Gonzalez live at the StubHub. You should have heard the punch live it sounded like a gunshot. Now I get to watch him get blasted out live by Davis. Abner sure likes getting his brains scrambled. He should have just retired.

I'm not yet sold on Davis being the new-messiah... but at the same time, I don't think Mares has what it takes to derail the Gervonta freight train at this point. A more likely scenario would likely be this is just a showcase fight for Davis.
