I like this fight for both guys. GGG would one up Canelo if he moves up in weight to challenge a stiffer test in Zurdo. Not only that but he wouldn't get the criticism of winning a secondary belt because Ramirez holds the WBO world title. It's a good fight for Golovkin and a different challenge outside of a Canelo trilogy at middleweight. Let's be honest, the biggest fight for GGG at 160 is the Canelo trilogy because it needs closure.

For Ramirez it's a good fight because it's the biggest name and challenge he'd fight to date. He's the reigning champion with something to prove. Even though Ramirez has been campaigning at 168 pounds for the longest I favor Golovkin for a couple reasons. The experience will play a part but Ramirez' recent difficulty in making weight will also play a factor. He's been vocal about his power not being there 100% because of that difficulty. He's not draining himself, I think, but he is having difficulty making the weight. If he's motivated though and can prepare adequately like we know he can, he'll give GGG a great fight. I wouldn't mind seeing this.

If it happens I hope it's a one off deal for GGG on ESPN because I really want to see him close the chapter with Canelo. And we all know Canelo is locked in with DAZN so the trilogy would have to happen there.

      I can't see Golovkin moving to 168

he is not looking for a challenge, he is looking for easy money

he will continue fighting scrubs and try to bullshlt his way into another Canelo payday

the problem for Golovkin is, Canelo does not give a shlt if that rematch happens..... he will get paid regardless, and he feels that he closed the door on their rivalry

Canelo has mentioned the possibility of a trilogy fight to the media, but not with any real conviction

refusing to fight Charlo, for a GUARANTEED shot at Canelo..... is the 4th most bizarre decision that I have ever seen made within boxing..... and 3 of those 4 decisions were made by Golovkin

and yet, they said fighting Charlo " made no sense "

      truly, bizarre !!

zero chance that Golovkin will move up to 168
