It's well documented that Wilder tried in earnest to make the fight on 3 separate occasions between mid October 2017 and July 2018.

It's also well documented that Wilder gave Hearn the conditions under which he'd fight Whyte (it included a money figure of 7M and a guaranteed shot at AJ) and last year Hearn balked saying Wilder was not worth it. Ironically, he offered the same 7M that Deontay wasn't worth in 2017 THIS YEAR for Wilder to fight Whyte on DAZN after the last negotiations for AJ in Sept 2018 were scuttled by Hearn himself with that fortuitous manipulation of the WBA. Go figure.

Both AJ and Whyte have ducked Ortiz at least twice, so obviously they are much more worried about fighting Luis than his fanboys are.
