First, a lil history lesson.
Back in 2012, Tomasz Adamek got what many people call a true gift against USS Steve Cunningham, when a mathematical error with the scorecards resulted in an unprecedented re-announcement of the result by Michael Buffer. The scorecard was basically not legible enough, but it was marked a victory for Adamek despite being initially read as a split draw.
That result came flashing back when I heard the Wilder/Fury decision, as the scorecard was edited multiple times. And I thought: What would have been the world's reaction if the same thing happened to announce Deontay as the winner after announcing a draw?
...worse, what would NSB do?
Or what if Fury was announced the winner after initially announcing a draw? Would we see LA riots all over again? School shootings?
What would have been?
