Why are people constantly saying Harrison was beating Hurd?

    https://www.premierboxingchampions.c...hurd/scorecard

Hurd was up on 2 of the 3 judges scorecards and was tied on the third... It really goes to show you how much of an influence that commentators have on the actual fight... Virgil Hunter was smoking serious crack... Talking about Harrison was playing possum every time he got hurt... And then people and his fellow commentators were eating it up

Personally, I thought Hurd won many of the early rounds as well as clearly dominating rounds 6-9 before the stoppage

People need to learn to not listen to the commentary, but think for themselves

If they rematch, Hurd will stop him again

But he wasn't. That's the point. That's what the commentators were saying, but Hurd was landing great shots that weren't even acknowledged

The first 6 were 3 to 3 worst case scenario

Harrison was doin much better work even dictating the pace in rounds 1-6 until Hurd took over. Hurd is just much bigger and size mattered.

Here is something was Harrison better vs Hurd or vs Charlo?

Harrison wasn't just waiting for opportunities vs Hurd he was making them. Much different than vs Charlo.

          Your take?

There were many shots Hurd was landing the first 6 rounds that went unannounced. I gave Hurd at least 2-3 of the first 6 rounds off the top of my head... I think the punch stats had Hurd or Harrison only up by a few punches... There were rounds that I had for Hurd that they somehow gave to Harrison. The icing on the cake that proved how biased the commentating team was is when Hunter kept saying Tony was playing possum every time he go wobbled

First they're talking about how great a boxer Harrison is and then once Hurd starts coming on strong, they're talking about Harrison was spotted eating candy... Give me a break

As for last night, I thought Harrison lost the fight. But he didn't lose it because of what Jermell did, he lost it because of what he failed to do

For example, Harrison wobbled Charlo several times and instead of hopping on him and going for the finish, he backs off and lets Jermell recover... Missed opportunities for me. I felt like he was fighting to survive, not win

Against Hurd, he was actually trying to win. Doesn't mean he was winning though

would be nice for hurd to get some credit once in a while, with all the protected pbc guys around hes gone and took on tough fights and won them. i dont understand why he doesnt have a fanbase? seems as if everyone was siding with the hype twins against him...

I've always been a fan of Hurd. I thought he would beat Jermell just like he's been doing to everyone else.

I don't think the Charlos have much of fan base but because they were so loud and in your face people either hated them or loved them for their antics.

Hurd on the other hand is humbled and soft spoken. I mean he still lives at home with his parents. His personality is a lot different so he won't get the notoriety they got.
