Korobov and Kalajdzic are prime examples of picking the wrong promoter, and how they can silence your career, "if your face dont fit". Itll hurt them in the end, people see

I know there's plenty of dudes celebrating cos Jermall apparently underperformed, but I'd say the TS is kinda on point here... he ain't even saying Matvey won, but he did put on a hell of a performance and should be congratulated for it. The point is that it isn't so much that Jermall underperformed as that Matvey was being hugely underestimated by almost everyone. We spoke earlier about how good of a fighter Matvey had been and also about his tendency to leave his chin out (which, luckily for him didn't catch up with him until it was too late for Jermall to capitalise). He surprised me cos I thought he was too far past it and would get caught earlier, but I always knew he had the skills to give Jermall real problems.
I can't speak for anyone else, but for me at least Jermall showed something here - especially with the distraction of his brother's loss. All fighters need to face this kind of adversity, and how Jermall reacts to this will tell us a great deal about what kind of man he is and how good a fighter he may become.Comment

hes a good fighter who stayed in amatures for a long time, underrated, but he had a fight scheduled and is very experienced stop acting like he was sitting on the couch for 2 years. I remember him fighting Lee, he was winningComment

Ah. Fair nuff. You didn't actually say that in your opening post, so I wasn't sure. I thought maybe the omission had been deliberate. Myself I saw a draw... maybe just edging to Charlo, but close enough that I wouldn't be too fussed either way.
Regardless the point stands that Matvey does deserve congratulations to my mind a great deal more than Jermall deserves much of the criticism he's getting. Overhyped? Sure, if you like, but that ain't really a criteria I use when judging a fighter - other folks opinions have never really been too much a concern of mine. Jermall's shown he's a good fighter, who I think belongs in the equation at the top end of 160 even if he's probably never going to separate himself. Maybe not the elite that some have claimed but that's a rare thing and to be prized rather than expected regardless of what the inevitable marketing tells us.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 12-23-2018, 03:44 PM.Comment

Don't get me wrong, I thought Korobov won. Granted, I can't prove this theory because that would require us to go back in time and let Jermell win and have Korobov and Jermall run it back, so I know that's not possible... But to say Jermall wasn't visibly affected walking to the ring, would be a lie
Sucks cause I have to take away from Korobovs performance. I say they run it backComment
