This is why I STRESS OPPOSITION LEVEL!! Fighters who are promoted well against overmatched opponents almost always are overhyped =lack of top level opposition to warrant the hype. Itll always show when stepped up in class.

Dont get me wrong n I don't mean to discredit Charlo because he does have substance. Korobov is a solid opponent and Williams was a great win against another contender who was on the same level competition-wise..difference being Charlo is promoted harder from PBC. IMO both Charlos are being brought along too slowly and the overmatched opponents hurt their growth as fighters especially When the fighters dont just roll over after being tagged. They're not prospects anymore.

They're a bit overhyped and overrated atm. They make alot of noise but lack the resumes, quality opponents. Korobov was a step in the right direction for Mall..which should've been done at least 2years ago, better late than never.. then again most names at PBC are matched the same way so i don't see them abandoning that course now, low risk/high reward. Im not against that, make as much as you can. Look at Quillin when he stepped up in class..gotten too accustomed to overmatched opponents. With the exception of a few fighters.. like Mikey Garcia and Hurd who are steadily matched competitively... more substance than hype.

Did either Charlo look great last night? No. They were both up against very tough competition last night and it can happen. Damn both fights could have been a draw IMO. Styles make fights. Both fights should have rematches with a proper broadcast team on Showtime.


Last nights fights were good fights, that got overshadowed by terrible commentary. Those fights were both close and competitive, but you would never know it by the broadcast team.

In the first 7 rds charlo barely any landed any clean shots at all. He's a crude caveman with limited skills who just bum rushes his opponents wanting to ko them. He telegraphs his jabs and shots. Korobov made him look silly.

It was real close. Either could have been awarded the win and wouldn't have mind. One scorecard was crazy.. We sure have a problem with judges. There should be some punishment in place for those who come up with these crazy scorecards.

GGG, Canelo and Jacobs , all three would beat Charlo every day of week and twice on weekends

also wilder exposed along with charlow bros. to bad east Europeans barred for 50 years from fighting here. we need more of them not these fake frauds. the Klit Bros are severely missed

I appreciate their styles, the Charlos. I see them getting better but they need to be matched tougher, more quality opposition. Styles make fights, sure but that shouldn't translate to rating or ranking. Opposition level is a more proper way to guage where a fighter is at in a particular division. They have styles that are appealing to casuals and if they want the praise n hope to beat Canelo, they need better opposition to prepare.. Look at the top fighters hes faced and who they have beat... compared to who they(Charlos) have beat. Canelo is #1 for a reason. They need to step it up to even compete with Canelos leftovers let alone Canelo
