The Charlos are a mirage. No substance. I applaud their hussle, they made a living by pretending to be good fighters when they are average joes. This is the best they can become. They can't beat any elite fighters and they are done.

I'm as guilty as anyone when it comes to rewatching and rescoring fights, but this is indeed well established psychology. One form of irrationality is the tendency of the brain to very quickly form strong narratives to fit new events into a perceived reality and then to subsequently ignore or skew things that contradict that narrative.

Good post. I'll stick with my card being a draw since it was initial reaction.

Mine too, in fact I didn't watch it till the morning (and then a bit half assed over breakfast) but my first reaction was a draw... in fact I probably leaned towards Jermall initially and now I'm leaning more to Matvey, but there's no point in second guessing yourself because with enough rationalisation you can convince yourself of just about anything.

                  Lol you're a ****ing clown

So now Jabs matter all of a sudden ? Bet you wasn't saying that with GGG vs Canelo. And you're basing it on what exactly...Compubox ? Laughable, Korobov was outlanding him in a lot of the rounds where it was only him landing the flush shots while making Charlo overreach and miss alot(yes his jab as well) Charlo ate straight lefts all night long...no head movement. I thought it was a close fight that could've gone either way

                    Absolutely NOT!

I had it 7-5 Charlo but if people are arguing a "DRAW" then I wouldn't argue against that but a lot of the "Korobov Was Robbed" is out of hatred for the Charlo Brothers which they brought on themselves because of the Arrogance and the Trash Talking so they won't receive no sympathy. What looks bad is that one score card in which that guy had his card filled out before the fight and took a nap during the fight clearly. 119-108? That Judge should be investigated for sure! It was a close fight but I do felt Charlo did enough particularly in the 12 to get by and hold on to his Interim Belt.

I most certainly wouldn't mind a rematch allowing Korobov to have a full camp to prep and not less than a week, same for Jermall who only had a week to prep for Korobov. If No GGG, Canelo or Jacobs next then rematch!

There was no clear victor in this fight. Neither fighter won this fight clearly. Charlo ran about even with a 35 year old Matvey Korobov who had to lose two extra pounds on one weeks notice because the fight he had contracted for two pounds more, and he had not fought a significant opponent in a number of years.

Going in I saw this as a potential upset, in fairness to Charlo, what happened speaks to how talented Korobov actually is more so than Charlo's lack of talent. This is a guy Korobov who beat Jose Uzcategui, one of the top guys at 168 right now, and who stopped Danny Jacobs in the amateurs, and also defeated Sergiy Derevyanchenko in the amateurs. And Charlo also only had one week to prepare for this very under rated fighter.

Because of perception of Korobov being some sort of joke because he got stopped by Andy Lee in a fight he was winning, Korobov's stock rose dramatically with this fight and Charlo's has fallen. I am very interested to see who they put Korobov in there with next. Nobody came out with a clear victory here, you can't say with clear conviction, watching that fight, that Charlo is a better fighter than a 35 year old Korobov.
