    This bit:
The financial terms would of course be revised if Alvarez loses his title. The agreement also provides for Alvarez to fight at least one time a year in Quebec.

You don't know what you're talking about. He didn't get any step aside money the first 2 times, and the last time he got f'd by GYM, who "promoted" both him and Stevenson. They offered him absolute pennies to fight Stevenson, literally forcing his hand to accept the step aside.

There's a reason why prior to Gvozdyk, Stevenson did not make a mandatory defense since 2013.

that is in any boxing contract smh. If a guy loses he isn’t guaranteed anything in his contract. If it’s a high enough profile fighter where someone else would still offer him as much money or more then they could choose to keep him at same pay. If not they can pay less or just release him completely.

Really? So I guess Bob is just plain honest then...

PS: Are you an agent or lawyer? How many contracts have you read?

Who's contracts? And multi-bout? Most contracts are for one fight.

most promotional contracts are for years or a set amount of fights.

Then there is an individual contract for each individual fight with all details for that fight.

                      Good call.
