      I'm happy for him, he was getting screwed over for a long time. Having said that, he's in the perfect trap space. Kovalev was outboxing him before the stoppage, and all of this hoopla can come crashing down if Kovalev beats him in Feb.

            Another one...another big, locked in deal...which likely means, Kovalev II is his last competitive matchup...its happening a lot now!

            Freakin' Chilemba, whatever Russian journeyman flavor of the month . Line 'em up...

            Happy for him and his family, but he'll be doing basically a working retirement

                  it wasnt step aside money he had the same promoter "step aside money" was him being offered 100k to fight stevenson (his promoter and stevensons were the same) or 250k to fight Bute.
                  he did that for a pascal fight too. promoter was protecting his fighter. His trainer talked about this in an interview in french before.

                    Good for him; well-earned. He needs to trust a bit less though and pay more attention to how his contract works. Too many hard-working fighters get screwed by being a bit too lazy and trusting.
