Hmmm
If you’re a boxing fan in North America, you already have Showtime. It’s cheaper than DAZN, and with HBO gone now there’s really no excuse.

I know I have Showtime, DAZN and just waiting on ESPN+ to come to Canada. Just cancelled HBO. Better in my pocket lol

Guess eddies billion dollar war chest isn’t big enough. Eddie will match any offer showtime makes...except this one.
LIS, the part about this being taken out of Hearn's DAZN budget doesn't make too much sense since he doesn't really have any big name where he is breaking out the bank for anyways. At least stateside. Which of his cards do you think he has spent 6-8 million on? I mean if he has, he is arguably the biggest fool in the history. Like you are spending THAT much money and not even having any big name to show for? And then factor in all the folks who signed up for their free trial for the Canelo fight and they get a grand total of zero boxing cards the rest of the month LOL. I'm sure that is EXACTLY how you keep subscribers huh?

Then Hearn tried to say if you think about it, Whyte will get more exposure on SHO then he would at DAZN since we are still working on getting subscribers...BUT wouldn't you want to air fights like Whyte/Chisora to keep your subscribers or add subscribers that are on the fence?

You are essentially paying $10 bucks a month just for boxing with DAZN. You don't get every day programming as you do with say HBO or SHO. So all of a sudden DAZN decides they have shown enough boxing for the year? Interesting.

Also, the best (only good) fight that Hearn/DAZN has had was Usyk/Bellew. He’s just going to finish 2018 like this? That Usyk fight is the only one where fighters should have even made seven figures lol

And for that fight, the main source of income was from the Sky Box Office PPV, NOT DAZN. I doubt DAZN paid big money for that fight.

I liked Joshua/Povetkin as well and since DAZN out bid SHO, you know they paid good amount of money for that one at least.

The Andrade/BJS was a quality quality match up. Can't blame Hearn for the fall out on that one.

And on top of that, WBSS is probably done with after season 2. That was the only quality boxing we were seeing on DAZN if we're going to be honest.

Ive heard WBSS might have some investors to save it. If true, I’m hoping for 175 in season 3. WBSS is the only reason I bought DAZN.

Sure you can’t blame Hearn that the Andrade/BJS fight got cancelled, but that fight was also a mandatory ordered by the WBO, so you also can’t give Hearn credit for making the Match. If anything, it’s troubling that the second best fight eddie has arranged since declaring his “American take over” was ordered.

Well, you give Hearn for giving BJS such a big offer that he avoided a purse bid. Hearn put his money where his mouth was for that fight, mandatory or not.

I don't see LHW doing anything for the WBSS to be honest. Why? Because TR isn't sending their guys there and they have most of the big players for that weight class. Especially if they sign Bivol.

I think WBSS is done with after season 2. They don't make their money back and the big names aren't exactly itching to join either. Hence, why they have targeted weight classes with no superstar in name value.

I think TR would send guys over BECAUSE they have most of the guys at 175 though. Basically Bob controls what, 3 of the belts if Bivol signs? That’s a lot of upsides and TR fights.

Man up for once.

But yes, Hearn is definitely a big reason his rise with IFL TV so he can't ask too many tough questions. And it's not even the initial tough question, he will never follow up on any suspect statement Hearn or anyone else makes.
Completely agree with the last part. NEVER follows up anything, even if you suspect deep down he disagrees with it.

The problem is it takes it away from ESPN and they need as many fighters as possible to fill those dates. That is why they bid on fights or are open to bidding on fights that don't involve their fighters. Just not happening. One of the reasons Jose Ramirez didn't join the WBSS.

And he's not an idiot, he damn well knows he just heard some BS but doesn't want to call out Hearn or even Warren at times. Like he will do that one thing where he pauses and and laughs awkwardly but then just moves on lol.
