Win-Win for Hearn. If DAZN bought the fight it would have come out of Hearns DAZN budget.

The question is why would Showtime want the Whyte-Chisora fight?

And if he had the budget that has been reported, what would this fight really do? He said on average he has 7-8 million to spend on a card but have you seen what he has put on? You think he's been paying 7-8 million on the Kansas card? How about the Boston card? Money shouldn't be a problem unless some of his budget got allocated to GBP with their deal. Though I suppose that was completely separate for now and DAZN will let Hearn keep his budget for the time being.

His reasoning doesn't make too much sense though. DAZN is trying to build their subscriber base and boxing is their main sport they are using to do that. Why wouldn't they want to put on as much boxing as possible? I mean Whyte/Chisora is far from a game changer but still a fight with some buzz. If you subscribed to DAZN for Canelo's fight, you literally use your free month on one f'n card. Their next card is the January 18 card. If you want to keep some of those subscribers who are on the fence, you should be putting on fights like Whyte/Chisora. But if DAZN really doesn't feel like a card like this one is worth it, then I see them in a few years drastically cutting their boxing budget. They may even pass on the Matchroom UK non-PPV shows...Which are mediocre as hell if we're going to be honest.

Kugie Bear is a nice company man. Dude is getting sent to Kansas to cover absolute shyte cards. Can you believe that? Dude is traveling across the pond not to cover a Canelo fight, or a Wilder/Fury fight, but a f'n Kansas card consisting of nothing but mismatches or just mediocre fights. Both parties benefit each other. Hearn gets him views and Kugie Bear gets Hearn some exposure on Kansas type of cards. So of course he isn't going to ask the tough questions.

Competition is good for us. According to him DAZN have first refusal on the fight. They pass... The great thing here is showtime are still interested in fights that aren’t just about Anthony Joshua. DAZN are picking their 16 shows carefully but what does that say about their platform doe especially people who signed up to them expecting to see fights like this one on it, those people now need to have showtime... Yeah, I mean he also seems to have a nice relationship with Warren, but Kugan is a complete company man if there ever was one. He doesn't want to step on anyone's toes and hardly ever takes a tough stance on anything. Even his tough questions he will sort of make it into a joke or something like WTF are you doing? Man up for once.

But yes, Hearn is definitely a big reason his rise with IFL TV so he can't ask too many tough questions. And it's not even the initial tough question, he will never follow up on any suspect statement Hearn or anyone else makes.
