I mean I'm sure on certain fights they will send their B siders elsewhere like anyone else, but any fighter of note is fighting on ESPN unless they lose a purse bid.
All these deals in boxing are good for the fighters, but are they really good for the fight fans? Just makes it even harder to get good fights.Comment

Exactly, he tries to use humour to sidestep having to ask a pressing questionComment

Yeah, I was happy when HBO bowed out, but DAZN stepped in and we still have 3 major networks.I mean I'm sure on certain fights they will send their B siders elsewhere like anyone else, but any fighter of note is fighting on ESPN unless they lose a purse bid.

That's exactly it. He will ask a some what tough question but hedge it by using humor and then accept any answer that comes his way.
I don't know who this interviewer was who asked Hearn about why DAZN didn't put this fight on, but he looks to not give a F about being in good company with Hearn. He asked that question and then followed up by saying one would think DAZN would want to put on a fight with Joshua's next potential opponent. Like when have we seen Kugan ever do that? Not like this guy was trying to be a d*ck or anything, just speaking facts.Comment

I’m waiting on my car getting serviced with no headphones. How annoyed did Eddie seem? HahaThat's exactly it. He will ask a some what tough question but hedge it by using humor and then accept any answer that comes his way.

I mean he was okay for the most part but mid-way through the interview realized this guy wasn't going to accept any BS answer so he tried to explain it further lol. He's used to guys like Kugan who accept his answer and go on to the next question.Comment

thats why i expected him to get annoyed. not used to a challenge. Look how AJ "broke character" when Big Baby got in his face at the DAZN launch.Comment

Oh yeah, deep down you can tell he is a bit hurt that DAZN didn't pick this fight up. Kind of a slap in his face. Like this is MY guy and someone who may fight Joshua next and you pass on the offer? Doesn't make too much sense right?Comment

Rob Tebbutt his name is, one of the best journalists in boxing IMO, mainly because he’s a genuine boxing fan who genuinely wants answers. He used to work for Behind the Gloves but he left as he felt his journalistic licence was essentially being censored by what BTG’s commercial aims were. That's exactly it. He will ask a some what tough question but hedge it by using humor and then accept any answer that comes his way.
