Comments Thread For: DeCubas: Marrero-Nyambayar Winner is 'Boogeyman at 126'

The main event features WBA "super" welterweight champion Keith Thurman (28-0, 22 KOs) ending a 22-month, injury-caused ring absence in pursuit of his eighth defense against third-time title challenger Josesito Lopez (36-7, 19 KOs), but Luis DeCubas believes Marrero-Nyambayar could steal the show.

Finally, my boy gets another opportunity. I hope this time he comes in with the respect this sport merits and leaves the clowning at home. This guy has so much talent and has not used it to his advantage. That fight with Jesus Rojas was a fight he threw away for acting like a moron. I am hoping he comes in with the right mindset. I'll have to check out this dude he will be fighting and see what he is all about. This shall be a good fight.

King Tug I think can be a STAR, big step up for him vs Marrero. Things are heating up at 126, Tugstsogt "King Tug" Nyambayar vs Mark "Magnifico" Magsayo will be a mega showdown at 126 one day I'm predicting and I can't wait!

Let's not get carried away. It's a good crossroads fight between a very good prospect and a decent veteran. Neither anywhere near elite at this point.

I respectfully disagree. I think Marrero is close to being elite. The problem is he has not been serious enough but he has the talent, skill and experience to be elite. But to say he is not even near is a bit much.
