Trinidad A. Elite level fighter, multiple weight champion, top level wins over De La Hoya, Whittaker, Vargas etc.

Spinks A. Elite level fighter, lineal HW and LHW champ, wins over Qawi, Holmes x2. Very underrated IMO.

Hamed A. Very gifted fighter, completely dominated the 126 lb division in the late 90’s beating Kelley, Medina, Vazquez, Soto etc.

Bowe B. Had the talent to be an A but ultimately never fulfilled his potential. Still notched impressive wins against Holyfield x2.

Hatton B. Not the most gifted but made up for it with sheer tenacity and effective aggression. Two weight world champion highlighted by a lineal title win over Kostya Tszyu. Other solid wins over Castillo, Malignaggi and Collazo. And fought the two best of his era in Mayweather and Pacquiao.

Shannon Briggs C. Lineal and 2x HW champ but never had any legitimate claim to being the best fighter in the division. Best win was probably outworking a very old George Foreman but badly came up short against elite level HW’s like Lennox and Vitali.

Mayorga C. Not the most skilled but found a way to win against some very solid opponents such as Vernon Forrest x2. But his lack of defence and ring IQ was exposed multiple times by elite level fighters such as Mosley, De La Hoya, Trinidad, Cotto etc.

Bruno C. Had a tonne of natural ability but never had the mentality to succeed at the top level. His career defining win over McCall earns him a C but nothing else on his resume to justify grading him any higher.

Ruddock D. Made a name by having two competitive fights with Tyson. But when he faced true elite competition he was badly taken apart by Lennox Lewis. Had decent wins over Dokes and “Bonecrusher” Smith but nothing special.

Cooper E. Effectively lost to every credible HW he fought. His win over Orlin Norris spares him an F. Had he stayed at CW he probably would’ve had a lot more success.
