Really can't stand Hearn. He has one of those faces you would just love to punch.

That said what he is saying is technically true so I don't understand why people are upset by it?
Wilder had his first ppv and did 'ok' numbers. We are not talking about gates here we are talking about people who paid to watch the fight at home.

Outside of a Fury or AJ fight it is hard to see who Wilder could face to warrant a ppv fight where a lot of people would pay for it? As with all his previous fights including Ortiz that just isn't going to happen.

Some are talking about AJ not being a ppv star in the US which is 100% true. But he doesn't need to be and I think that is the point which many don't seem to realise. AJ doesn't need to sell 1 US ppv ticket to make $20m a fight. He can fight a homeless bum that nobody has heard of who has only ever had one fight against another homeless bum for stealing his shopping bag. And that fight will still do 700k+ ppv buys in the UK.

In my view this fight will not happen. No matter which side offers what to the other side. Hearn will keep AJ fighting in the UK stadiums whilst his popularity there remains high. Finkel and co will not risk another fight against a top fighter as they know Wilder will lose. If his popularity is so low with a belt imagine what it will be without it.
I would love to see Wilder go in the ring with some of the other guys ie Povetkin, Parker, Whyte, Chisora etc. But if I had to bet I would bet he will go against Ortiz again.

Who cares about the UK numbers, they put any half decent fighter on PPV over there plus it's a fraction of the price.
Brook vs Gavin was PPV, so you could consider Brook a PPV star since he also faced GGG on PPV over there

I think Wilder would much rather fight anyone than Ortiz again. He came very close to being stopped. If someone like AJ or Whyte got him in that kind of trouble, especially in the UK, a ref would have stopped it.

PPV, by the way, is nearly dead with all the illegal streaming and other things they are doing with DAZN, ESPN, etc. Comparing PPV buys between the US and UK are also horribly misleading. Comparing apples to oranges. $20 PPV vs $80, but more buys in the UK make them bigger stars? IMO, the UK is doing the right thing. You shouldn't have to be rich to enjoy good boxing matches.

Gawd Edster is a clever one! Aj wants the fight, Hearn doesn't. Publicly pretend to be interested, check. Publicly blame the other side for the fight not happening..when it doesn't happen. Blah blah. Public posturing that's all. Same ish Arum pulled with MayPac. Aj will have to take an L before he puts him in with Wilder because then he'll have more to gain. At least Wilder has another Fury bout as an option.

Not too optimistic about AjWilder happening when it's at its peak. This is boxing and this the HW div. Big fights like never happen when theyew suppose to

I get that people don’t like Hearn, but surely Wilder v AJ ending up on DAZN rather than PPV would be a good thing for US fight fans?

Far too many fights are PPV in the U.K. that’s true. But Brook v Zerafa wasn’t PPV so that’s incorrect. If only we had a subscription based alternative I’d be all for it...
i have no issue with Danz I just haven seen anything worth me paying for it monthly, the cards have been pretty dull, every ppv here I only pay $10 because we throw fight parties. thanks for the correction

Deontay should take that thing of a mask off his face because Fury has exposed him. Don't know why Joshua is 'begging' to fight him. Joshua should be fighting Fury, not that bum, Wilder

Except fury wants the rematch in the UK.

You see I had to stop supporting wilder because ..to be a wilder fan u got to have a certain amount of hypocrisy about u..and I tend to hold people to what they say.wilder said it's not about money...it's legacy what happens to that?

There is no way wilder will make more fighting fury than for the undisputed championship of the world. In a two fight deal that will also guarantee him the u.s money he craves. So what's the hold up....

the rematch will be in the US. PPV industry believes the rematch will do double the buys of the first fight. fights capable of doing over 600,000 buys at $75 take place in the US.

it's not about the money itself, it's about respect. hearn tried to play wilder for an absolute fool. making him beg and grovel for a 2018 fight. making him accept a horrible flat fee offer. then pulling a bait and switch and refusing to do the fight in 2018 and expecting wilder to wait until april and still take the low ball flat fee.

wilder as a man said you know what? **** this. **** hearn. **** joshua. i've done everything possible to make this fight happen. i'm over it. they can all go suck a ****. i'll go do my own thing, increase my worth, and they can fight me when they offer 50/50.

and that's what wilder is doing. good for him. now the pressure is on AJ. wilder can fight fury two more times, make an absolute fortune, and the AJ fight will still be waiting after.

yes there is a way. wilder vs fury II in the US will generate more revenue than joshua vs wilder would generate in the UK.

until joshua is willing to come to the US so the fight can maximize its revenue, wilder is better off fighting fury.
