Comments Thread For: Martin Murray Does Not Plan To Rebuild Again if He Loses

MARTIN MURRAY RELUCTANTLY concedes that it is a case of win or bust for him when he defends his WBC Silver middleweight title against the dangerous Hassan N'Dam on Saturday. In what should be a compelling contest at the Manchester Arena, the 36-year-old four-time world title challenger bids to extend his winning run to five against former WBA Regular champion N'Dam and place himself in pole position for a fifth strike at world honours.

Sounds like another potential Stevenson situation in the future. It's over for him against any top-level competition.

          Lucky..or unlucky?

On a different night with different judges, he might have wins over Martinez and Sturm, maybe even Abraham too. Many felt he beat Martinez.

Just shows you how a few decisions the other way can affect your legacy. Imagine he got the nod in those fights, we would be talking about a British fighter that was a champion with very good names on his record.

He should keep his options open. Win or lose he's the kind of guy Oscar picks for Canelo

I think N'dam will outbox Murray but if Murray may win a controversial decision

"In what should be a compelling contest..."

Yeah, don't hold your breath. Murray's best talent is holing up like a turtle behind his guard and most of his fights are dull as dishwater to watch as a result. He's the only relevant fighter I can name from my hometown and I still don't like his fights, and I've never especially liked him that much as a person.
