Comments Thread For: Jermell Charlo Preps For Harrison With a Brooklyn State of Mind

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - "If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere." OK, so Frank Sinatra might not have been referring to Brooklyn when he belted out his ode to New York, but for Jermell Charlo the city's most populous borough has been quite the proving ground. The WBC's 154-pound kingpin made the first defense of his title on an April 2017 card at Barclays Center, then returned to the venue six months later for a one-round erasure of tough-talking prospect Erickson Lubin on a three-tiered show with then-fellow champs Jarrett Hurd and Erislandy Lara...

Fight Hurd, Andrade, Jacobs already. "I'm so so tough and stuff" what a gossip girl. Interesting how the fights he can make easily, he avoids, but the fight he knows he won't get cause he is still a nobody, he calls it for so loudly.

Reminds me of how AJ pretends to want to fight Wilder but makes the purse, upsides, locations mediocre.

“I only jaw with people who come at me first. He used my name for hype and entertainment purposes. I guess that’s cool. But I’m really not the type of fighter that you want to be name-dropping on. I’ll show up in the ring, and they make it seem like Jermell Charlo is the big issue, but the big issue is that once you pick on me I’ll never forget it.” - Jermell Charlo

So let me get this straight Charlo wasn't banned for missing a vada test but monroe was for an adverse finding of elevated testosterone?

Thats a bunch of bs,a missed test is supposed to be an automatic fail, the whole point of vada testing is that a fighter has to be available for testing whenever the tester says so
,no exceptions, the reason for that is so a fighter can't clear it out of their system using the ultra advanced methods available today for dirty fighters.

It doesn't surprise me that this is being swept under the rug yet when Canelo had the most miniscule amount of clen in his system thats consistent with eating tainted meat in his country where most meat contains it,he was suspended & is still being crucified for it despite vada testing being so advanced that it can detect a single molecule of most drugs & despite countless clean athletes having given false positives for Clenbuterol while competing in mexico, such as in the u17 WC where 52% of players tested positive for trace amounts & more than 30% of the local hotels meat tested positive for Clen. Yet you have Charlo dckriders like breadman from this site who daily crucify Canelo as a cheat & nuthugs charlos & others. The irony of course is that Canelo has been a pioneer of Vada testing & has demanded vada for all his fights & before vada he had the best then available testing for all his fights from early on, meanwhile fighters like ggg have kod nobody but vanes since he started testing, this being 1 of countless fighters who has gone most his career without testing.

              More proof

A fighter can miss three tests in a year before getting suspended

Which is why vada/Boxing is beyond a joke. So if a fighters dirty all he has to do is miss the test & use one of countless methods to clean themselves & not show remnants of masking agents.

I'm ready see these Charlos step up in class. Don't see it happening under PBC. Hopefully we get the Hurd unification this year 2019 though.
