It was a legendary run really. He may be the shortest reigning heavyweight champ of all time as well. Man, that's really something. Like hitting the lottery twice.

Did you see the Glazkov thread from yesterday, man? Weird lil bit of synchronicity if you didn't there cos I ain't heard a whisper about either the Czar or the Prince in forever:

Turns out Slava went into the fight with a pre-existing injury, and that added to the damage sustained in the fight was so bad the Docs reckoned he coulda lost his leg. Been covering it up so he could still fight, though it's unclear how long he'd been carrying it.

Yeah, I saw that. Probably what made me think of Martin and decide to do this thread. Haha. Too bad about Glazkov though. Must have been a horrible injury. I just remember hearing nothing about him since that fight. Boxing's hard on the body. No telling how long he carried the injury. Best of luck to him...
