a much younger and lesser version of canelo shattered that chin of a prime undefeated version of trout, everyone after that had him doing the bambi legs...
not saying canelo stops charlo but he definitely beats him imho...
but should be a good fight that really needs to happen down the road.. i will preffer jacobs first cuz i think he deserves it...
Will Canelo beat Charlo? Possibly, he will be the favorite for sure.

But Trout fought well vs Charlo. He looked good the few fights prior to Charlo but he was definitely shook up a bit from the Lara fight. He competed very well with Canelo got Lara just out classed him and dropped him late in the fight.

He's a better boxer with better timing. He's a harder puncher. He doesn't gas out after 6 or 7 rounds.

Canelo is the smoother of the two, but Charlo has a killer jab and will be able to compete with him in close quarters. That is where Canelo is lethal, but Charlo simply doesn't panic in the line of fire and is able to land his big shots. A mover is what gives Charlo some issues, but Canelo isn't that type of guy. This will be a close fight as will Canelo vs Jacobs. There is nothing we have seen from Canelo against top level guys to think he will dominate any of them. Only one he has dominated or come close to dominating was Cotto. Every other fight has been competitive.

Canelo won clearly against Trout, and he was like 23.

He is getting better and better with each fight.

Plus, Canelo did a very solid job in the rematch against GGG.

For sure, he is a way better fighter than Charlo, only the long jab of Charlo is better, but nothing that Canelo can't handle

Canelo was actually 22 vs Trout I believe, but most disagree with you when saying he won clear. I had Canelo winning 7-5 +KD so I consider it a clear win but there were those that had it 6-6 or even 7-5 Trout.

Canelo can definitely beat Charlo, I never said otherwise. Canelo is a beast, but what I have said isn't false. His fights vs top guys are always competitive for the most part, and also controversial. He doesn't get clear cut wins and doesn't stop them. Charlo isn't as skillful as Canelo, but his chin is getting severely underrated here. He wouldn't get stopped by GGG, let alone Canelo. That was the main thing about my post.

No way in hell Trout won that fight.

In all those fights that you are talking about, Canelo outlanded his rivals in powerpunches.

GGG only had two élite fighters and he could not be super dominant against them.

That's normal in the highest level in this sport.

Charlo is a very good fighter but you are overrating him

You actually made my point. I'm not saying struggling vs other elite fighters is a bad thing because it's not. Just that to expect Canelo to dominate Charlo and stop him is unlikely when he hasn't done that to other elite fighters. I'm not dogging Canelo here at all, stating facts.

Canelo out landed Trout in power punches by one and got out landed in jabs by over 30. Doesn't mean he lost the fight but it's not like he was landing so many more power shots then him either.

I believe Canelo vs Charlo will be competitive. As I believe Canelo vs Jacobs will be competitive.

Charlo is athletic, fast, a good puncher with counterpunching skills.

This fight if it ever happens will be fought at a slow pace. Charlo has an excellent jab and will be a handful for Canelo unless Charlo's chin is weak.
