Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker: We Wanted To End The Year With a ****

Joseph Parker was glad to end his 2018 "with a ****" and defiant after being accused of low blows by beaten opponent Alexander Flores. The former WBO heavyweight champion has had a disappointing year, losing high-profile bouts on points against British duo Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte.

It's not been a great year for Parker aside from financially he did pretty well.

I want to see him in an interesting fight within the first couple of months of 2019, because i can easily see him getting bogged down in pointless fights in NZ.

Get back to the uk as quickly as possible joe.

I think at this stage a good fight for Parker would be Miller

"Alexander seems to think I hit him low three or four times. I know I hit him low once but that's the fight game.

When pressed further, Parker insisted any low blows were "unintentional, but I knew there was a few"

... So, in other words Flores has a valid point and Parker is in complete agreement. Simples.

End with a ****? More like a small 'pop'. I remember as a little kid when blowing off fireworks there were these tiny fire*******s called lady fingers... and also mini fire*******s. That's what this was... a little pop. And even at this win.... there were several low blows. He's a good boxer, no denying it, but I don't think he'll ever go into 'beast mode' when he's fighting elites. He'll always be extremely cautious in those fights.

Parker put the division on notice. Fact. Can't wait to see more of him next year, a title shot looms, the New Zealand warriors aren't to be f***ed with trust me.

Parker had a different story to tell about the ref in the Joshua fight. But he's alright with this ref when he hit his opponent with numerous low blows? Hmmm. So he's a hypocrite as well then.

Yeah, Parker was a real warrior when he ran and disengaged all night against Joshua after talking all that smack. What would the boxing world do without such courage?
