This is true, but the stadium would still get filled.

I realize this was a long time ago, but last time he fought in Mexico I think they were giving 3 tickets away for every one that you purchased.

At least, that's what somebody was saying to me.


It might be different now though, since he's been in a lot of high profile fights and I would think that would maybe carry over to Mexico? I just don't see this happening, though.

Right. I definitely prefer Canelo taking showcase fights in December rather than him sitting out that month completely.

If anyone with the belt wants to fight Canelo in Mexico I think it would be fair to say they are there to sell the belt. It must be almost a miracle to win against Canelo in Vegas on points, but winning on points against Canelo in Mexico is just as realistic as landing on the Sun.

it's not happening because in Vegas that's where the money is at, it's not just fight tickets, it's the money people they bring to the city, the sponsors, the food, lodging, the shows, and all that. Making the fight in Mexico is like giving to charity as bad as it sounds.
