Can we all calm down. He was entitled to a stay busy fight but however big fielding was, he was still useless and he quit too ( he was up as soon as the ref waved it off). For those of you who are crowning canelo the king at 168, callum smith did the job on fielding in 1 round.

Oh and canelo carried Fielding to give the fans a few rds he could have taken him out in the first but even at that fielding still landed more on smith than canelo.

Canelo just beat somebody that is nowhere near as good as him. A stay busy fight yet at the same time gains him a world title at a new weight. Good on him. Shame he had to cheat with drugs and pads and i wonder if Oscar still paid the judges off to cover all bases? I reckon he did.

Canelo had better options like BJS, Charlo or Jacobs.


IDK why he was in such a rush to fight again before the end of the year. I can get not fighting a big name in a short turn around like this but why fight at all and not negotiate say a BJS fight for next spring instead? Maybe they were negotiating with DAZN back then and wanted to get the contract wrapped up soon.
