If he's prepped and ready to go, that's a better fight than Slick Willie - only thing is Matvey's inactivity and lack of quality opponents since Lee makes it difficult to gauge where he's at. Ain't a dude I'd be wanting to take on as a late replacement if I was managing Jermall though.

I mean they need a replacement for WMJ and if it has to be someone like Korobov then so be it. It's not a bad fight at all everything considered.

Charlo avoided Vada testing altogether for this fight, and there is only one reason for that, and Monroe tested positive, both should get a 12 month ban, its laughable when this fight still takes place. WBC banned Povetkin for that same matter.

Damn right. I'd be happier to see that than Monroe anyway even with the questionmarks over Matvey. Monroe had - in effect - no chance and wouldn't really have even made it entertaining. Matvey's not really a high octane fighter either but technically he's as good as they get... just needs to remember not to get complacent and keep his wits when he's looking for a finish.

That's a better fight. He's past prime but is a better technican, better puncher than Monroe.

I gotta disagree. Korobov as some kind of stamina issue. He hasn't been in a fight scheduled for more than 8 rounds in 4 years. Korobov may be a better fighter... for the first four rounds.

Korobov has the talent to be a world championship level fighter. I don't know exactly what is wrong, but he really does have something wrong that effects his stamina. That is what has prevented him from being a world champion.

Still, a decent late fill-in. Monroe would have been better, but Korobov has talent and was in training camp to fight on the card anyway. Still, Jermall should let Jermell headline because of this.
