That's like saying Jose Napoles should have lost his welter belt after he was KO'd by Monzon for the middleweight belt.
Um buddy, you may want to read my post again and the one I made earlier in this thread. I said you can't defend your MW title when you are fighting above the MW limit. If he had the SMW title, then he could defend that title as well as his MW title if it took place at 160, but not the other way around.

      Sorry, wrong quote.
Hes representing as the wbc champion in this fight he will lose his title and rankings if such an upset were to happen.
      I was responding to that.

Btw, we don't need another Leonard-Lalonde fiasco.

This fight is for Fielding's 168 pound title. For any fight to count as a middleweight title fight both boxers must weigh 160 or less. This fight does not count as a Canelo defense of his 160 pound world titles and he cannot lose any of his 160 pound titles even if he loses this fight. Win, lose or draw Canelo keeps his middleweight titles.

Both fighters were many pounds over 160 so no middleweight title is at stake. Canelo cannot lose any middleweight title in this fight. Both boxers must make the middleweight limit of 160 pounds for any middleweight title to be at stake. If this fight was billed as a middleweight title fight and Fielding weighed 160 or less and Canelo came in over 160 pounds Canelo would lose his title but of course this is a fight for Fielding's 168 pound title only.

Mikey Garcia has the LW WBC title, if he loses to Spence he's not losing that title.
Rigo got stripped for losing to Loma. Who knows what the bodies do. Canelo isn’t defending any title, but who knows...not like he’s gonna lose anyways

That was wrong how they did Rigo but it was understood that if he went up for that fight he would get stripped. Canelo isn't getting stripped and neither is Garcia if they lose their next fights.

Didn't Rigo and Lamont lose their straps after they lost fights outside their division?

It was 100% wrong how they did Rigo. I can’t remember if that was mentioned beforehand though. Was it? I only heard about it after the fight and thought it was some unspoken punishment for HOW he lost.

This. OP dumb as a brick or just started watching boxing yesterday.
