Marriaga and Rigondeaux, yes. And he was criticised heavily for both, though many thought Rigo could win.

Is this a roundabout way of saying you think that I should applaud Tank for this? Do you think this is a good challenge for Tank?

Look, I like Tank, I think he's a fine fighter, but I want to see just how good he is.

I'd love to see him against these young, fresh fighters like Berchelt, Machado, Lopez, etc., as well. But would these different promoters come together to make these non-big money fights? I doubt it.

The fight I most want to see is Davis-Loma. This is unlikely, too, for a long, long time.

I'm sure Mares would do his best to make it competitive and win, for as long as it lasts.

So what? Salido who beat Lomachenko has 14 losses. He had 12 losses when he fought Lomachenko.

Mares also was an Olympian and a former 3-division champ.

I don't like this Mares fight, but it may not go well for Davis if he's undisciplined and still as fat as people say he was a couple of months ago.

What would that make the fighter who fights and goes life and death with Gervonta's leftovers?

I'd love that fight but you're almost certainly right... little chance of seeing it soon.

Y'know, I ain't even blaming Tank for Mares and Cuellar (hell, as a GGG fan you learn to be sympathetic to guys not getting the right opponents.), cos the reality of the sport is that most of the fights we want to see either don't happen or don't happen when they should, but it's just a shame that we have to wait to see him in with the guys you mentioned (Berchelt and Machado I particularly want to see - and I think Tank can beat both). Kid's ready now...
