Golovkin will be remembered similar to Ricardo Mayorga.

GGG withdrew from fight with Canelo over money (even though GGG accused Canelo of being a businessman in the past..and only fighting for money) and claimed he had a done deal with BJS. GGG then pulled out of that alleged done deal and fought Canelo again.

        GGG ducked Average BJS.

          Bullshit.

Billy Joke only called Golovkin out when he knew that a Canelo fight was next.

Golovkin was also ducked by Quillin (he admitted it years later), Sergio Martinez, Cotto, Sturm. Canelo did initially duck Golovkin and Jacobs was hesitant. But you can't really count those two since they wound up fighting him.

Like Mayorga, Golovkin doesn't have very much skills, has a great chin, and just talked a lot. Golovkin doesn't necessarily talk s**t like Mayorga, he just goes on and on about "Mexican Style," "Businessmen," "Belts," etc., and just tried to paint his career with words.

              They both talk a lot.

All this talk about Golovkin being a K.O. artist, but name one good fighter he knocked out. Just ONE.

              Basically, Golovkin is Mayorga 2.0

Just like Mayorga got taught a lesson by De La Hoya, Golovkin got taught two lessons by Canelo.
Except Golovkin won both fights in the opinion of many observers. Wasn't knocked down or even staggered. Was a multiple belt world champion and a celebrated amature with an outstanding record. Holds the highest KO ratio in middleweight history.
Almost a mirror image of Mayorga...

Gennady Golovkin won't be Sergio Martinez's next fight, says DiBella
Lou DiBella has no problem admitting that Gennady Golovkin is simply too dangerous for Sergio Martinez to face when the Argentinean returns in 2014.

Cotto paid Golovkin 800,000 dollars to avoid fighting him. Don't blame him because he's too small for Golovkin as proved by his fight with Canelo. Depending how you look at it it can be considered a duck.

No. No observers think Golovkin won either fight let alone both. You are literally a conspiracy theorist. Hell white supremacist WhiteBreadMan - who HATES Mexicans and LOVES GGG/whites - said Canelo won the 2nd fight and if you're being maximally generous to GGG he earned a draw in 2nd fight. And that's from a GGG/white power NUTHUGGER.

Most people saw Canelo bully the bully and literally beat GGG down.

The first fight will always be contested because of how it unfolded. GGG moved forward most of the night and threw more punches yet landed less power shots. Meanwhile Canelo was more efficient and defended masterfully..it really depends on what you like. A draw was "fair" although I thought Canelo won the first fight 7-5 and I'll gladly go round by round with anyone and use evidence/gifs to demonstrate.

As for Gennadys KO "record"...he has a historically bad resume - it's literally among the worst ever.

5 world champion opponents in 40 professional fights in an era with 4+ champions per weight class...and 1 of those champions was a goddamn WELTERweight. Gennady was such a hypejob

I'm no ggg fan but he will certainly be remembered in much higher regard than Mayorga and deservedly so.
