Comments Thread For: Joshua Throws Water at Tyson Fury's Lineal Champion Claim

As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, Anthony Joshua did an interview where he challenged Deontay Wilder to fight him at Wembley Stadium in London on April 13. The IBO, WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight champion had to watch on as WBC holder Wilder and Tyson Fury fought out a thrilling draw in Los Angeles a fortnight ago.

Lineal does nothing for Joshua, Max Kellerman is out of touch with reality. Joshua said it best is lineal a title. No it's not.

What a joke that certain fighters want to act like ibo is a realbelt,ggg/aj/Eubank jr are/were both trying to hold that weak pos ibo so that when these dîckriding writers mention/ed them it sounds like they have 4 belts instead of 3 to the casuals. It works too because everytime they mentioned ggg & his paper titles they claimed he was "unified mw king" & yet when Canelo is mentioned after taking gs trinkets hes never called remotely the same despite having 10x better resume.

That's always the problem with these lineal claims: the debate over it's vacancy.

Absolutists deny the fact that a lineal champ can lose that status via retirement or extended hiatus.

Not much point arguing. There are no rules guiding the provision of lineal status.

AJ squirming because hes left holding his ****, without a dance partner.

His belts are worthless ***elery when the whole world know you've spent your whole career cherry picking the easy fights and avoiding the top guys.

Anthony Joshua walks around with the garbage IBO belt but has the nerve to trash the lineal tradition.

Jump on social media and see how many people are disgusted at Hearn and AJ. They are fast becoming the most globally disliked boxer since Mayweather.

Wilder, let's make that ish happen. Winner faces Fury to close out HW debate. They're all Great fighters. Hopefully we get to see who comes out on top. I say Fury.
