    No he was not right.


    If you look carefully, he was very limited in terms of natural ability. He made up for that tenfold using his mind.

    Anybody who can utilize their brain to make up for lacking that severely in terms of raw talent and ability should be respected even more for those who are just gifted. Figthers like Roy Jones, Floyd Mayweather etc were truly gifted.

    What seperated Roy Jones from Floyd Mayweather was Roy's superior reliance on his skills, Mayweather used his brain more and thus saw more longevity. Roy Jones was pretty much unbeatable at his best though, might have had the highest ceiling of any boxer ever. That much speed, power, and physical ability is unmatched in boxing history imo.
