why arent fans allowed to get excited by lomachenko?

'bumachenko' 'lomafraud' 'hypejob' 'he fights bums' 'not a p4p fighter' 'is that what the fuss is about' - some of the comments ive seen this week from different posters .

the less blatant posters have just gone down the route of lying and saying he shipped punishment and got 'hit too much' when his opponent landed about 1 in 10 of his shots.

why have you miserable pricks got to hate so much?

lomachenko is past the point of being 'hype'. Hes the pound for pound number 1 not some prospect. Hes the greatest amateur fighter of all time. Hes fought 4 fights where people said he was up against it (rigondeaux, walters, russell, linares) and beat 3 of them without breaking sweat and stopped the other one. So why are people just lying and saying he fights weak opponents?

If he loses again, its because his opponent is a brilliant fighter, lomas proven already.

Even pedraza was top 5, compare his opponent to hurds comeback opponent. Most fighters fight lower ranked 'stay busy' opponents when they are healthy let alone coming back from injury.

And why cant he be compared to ATG's in fantasy fights? Why cant fans be excited when they see a fighter as talented as lomachenko? I cant think of a fighter in history who is doing what hes done in such a short space of time. He was ****ing 396-1 as a amateur. Hes making world class opponents look average. Stop making out these past fighters were unbeatable. Lomachenko is a special talent and deserves the praise hes getting.

and if you justify hating on him cause 'i cant stand his fans doe' youre a ****ing loser

This is the same thing Floyd fans have been asking for years.

As for being excited about Loma, there are 2 different groups of posters that are excited. There are boxing fans-King, kafkod, szef, retro- for example, that love his skill and fighting ability. This IMO is the majority of his fanbase.

Sadly there is a small but very vocal potion of his fanbase-you, CJS, ghostofdempsey, jubei, d4th, and some others-that like him primarily for agenda driven reasons rather than his boxing skill and talent.

You guys are like the portion of Larry Bird's fanbase that liked him for agenda driven reasons rather than his basketball skill and talent.

Can't you keep your agenda away from Loma and like him just for his boxing skill and talent?

As for the names he is called you are smart enough to know this is in response to all the names you and others have called fighters you don't like. It shouldn't trigger you that much especially since you did this kind of stuff for years.

It has been crazy with the negative comments he's gotten since winning. I don't know man. This board is like a cancer ward at times. No celebration for any fighter or any achievement. There are definitely more level-headed posters though. I praise him plenty. It was a solid win over a good opponent and he was dominant for most of the fight.

every fighter who wins and is hyped gets negative comments around here and you all were on the giving end of most of them, I don't see much loma hate outside of a few! but whats the big deal? hes a great fighter and it comes with the territory from what I see. I think the real issue is that you all can dish it but cant take it

It's really a shame to see where boxing fans in general have devolved to. Any fighter who gets praised to the high heavens will also open up people who take the opportunity to hate on said fighter. They'll use unrealistic high standards to criticize a fighter if any of those standards aren't met. The fact that Loma barely loses a round, not get touched, but couldn't stop the opponent and still gets criticized for his performance just shows how good of a fighter he is, it's actually a compliment to him because they really do see how special of a fighter he is. Unfortunately it's just a way for people to have an excuse to throw criticisms at him.

That also goes with other fighters too such as Pac, Floyd, Canelo, GGG, Ward, Crawford, etc. Fight fans love to set up these high standards and expectations on fighters that they don't like just so they can say a negative comment on them and get other people triggered. It's really sad to see.

Hasn't this been the case for a long time going back to other highly successful boxers?

Ain’t that what they been doing all along. Lol

I think they bash his fans because they tend to be noobs who know jack ****ttt about the sport and think Loma is the second coming of god.

Dude is ridiculously overrated so people like to have fun with his delusional teenage fans.
