That would be a HUGE jump in comp, like the kind Lubin tried to make in Charlo.
Good way to learn but also a good way to take bad punishment at an early age that may force you to sit out a while.

Sure his inexperience showed with him dipping low right to the right hand, but skills wise Lubin would have competed with him. The advantage Lopez has over Lomachenko is he is much bigger and stronger than him. Dude is going to be at 140 soon and likely 147 in a few years. By early 2020 he will be ready and I will likely pick him over Lomachenko.

The only thing we know about Lopez is what he did on Saturday night in blowing out a lower level guy. We have seen Loma be excellent against really good/great fighters. I agree that I don't think Lopez will be at 135 very long, he looks really big for that weight, but for that reason I just don't see how him and Loma are going to fight.
Basically zero reward for Loma taking the fight. If he dominates Lopez, everyone will then say he should have, Lopez was overrated, he wasn't ready, etc. If he looks bad at all, people will say Loma is overrated. Fun fight to think about but unless Lopez stays around 135 for a couple years and has some impressive wins there is just no way that fight happens imo.Last edited by Boxing-1013; 12-11-2018, 02:27 PM.
