Even if I had him winning the first two. I think Canelo gets a clean win here. How about you guys?

If both guys make it a fight for real estate I think GGG can win.

Curious what each guys strategy would be for part 3. I'd like to think GGG woulda fought to his better more fan friendly strengths last time but he didn't.

Will he this time? And if he does why wouldn't Canelo go right back to his strategy in fight 1 lol.

Idk about none of that bs right now, but ring iq-wise I gotta pick Canelo.

Ring IQ is why I thought G won the first two fights. Canelo gets kinda tuckered out as well. I'd go with Canelo here because I think Golovkin has been pushing himself pretty hard lately. That age is showing.

I would certainly not make the mistake of expecting him to get a decision again but until he starts looking properly old I think he's a marginally better fighter than Canelo

I guess I'm saying all around ring iq then cuz I felt like Canelo has a plan a, b, c & d & so on. While GGG, like many Abel fighters, has a plan a & if they doesn't work they just take the L.

For full disclosure doe I thought the first fight was a draw & the 2nd fight was GGG's, but both were well within the margin of error that no one can complain cuz they didn't win or either guy showed himself to be THAT superior to the other.

I had GGG winning 7-5 in the first fight and losing by the same margin in the 2nd fight. I think the 3rd fight will be the most clear of them all for Canelo. Though GGG did close like a great champion last fight. So much respect for how he responded in the last three rounds.

Canelo now has that psychological advantage over GG now.

              It’s over for GG

Hard to see a 37 year old Golovkin doing better than a 35 or 36 year old version, but I thought he took both fights, the first fairly clearly, the second debatably... trajectory certainly suggests Canelo would take a third though, even if Golovkin has enough left to make a real fight of it.

I agree. I picked GGG to win both fights. I felt the first one was a clear win for GGG. The second fight I gave to GGG but it was debatable and Canelo fought the EXACT fight Sanchez had begged for ahead of time and GGG could not hurt Canelo. GGG is my age and is clearly beginning to slide. Canelo is a young sponge who learns and improves with every fight. I think he walks GGG down and wins a firefight if the third match happens. He knows what to expect and he's felt the power. Canelo was the one that made the adjustments in the 2nd fight while GGG couldn't.

It would be interesting, would depend on how he looks. I believe he gained some weight already.

The good thing is that he longer can say "I did enough to win, I'll just do the same thing". He'll need to adjust, and adjust heavily. He boxed well, but he MUST make a point to attack the body. Nonstop body attack. Even if he gets countered, he needs to diversify his punches in order to land more.

I can see either guy coming out with a decisive victory in the 3rd fight.
