If I remember correctly the dispute wasn't so much about money per bout, but rather the number of fights he was promised vs what he got. Top Rank contended that they couldn't deliver on that because Donaire was injured and NSAC order Donaire rest to heal from injuries.

Also I understand the boxing promoters have a bad reputation. Arum in particular, but he is right about a few things. They spend a lot of money building up fighters sometimes losing money in the process of building them up. Then when they finally recover some if the money and actually begin to make a profit, the fighter demands more money threatens to sit out his contract, or wants to sign with another promoter.

Crawford is the real deal. My worry is that since he has re-upped his contract with TR, he won't be fighting any of the big guns under Haymon's umbrella; and so his career will remain less than stellar.
