Joshua vs. Klitschko projected live gate, with 90,000 people, was $10.5M. Mayweather vs. McGregor had 14K people, and the gate...$55.4M!
Mayweather-McGregor live gate makes $55.4 million

People need to stop using these Floyd numbers like he’s the one in a massive fight as the main event.
Wilder and Fury did 300k ppv...not 2mil.
Fury and Wilder together didnt make 50 mil, stop with the fantasy of AJ coming over here to fight the HW Floyd.
If you and your opponent arent making these figures combined...it sounds like its all coming from AJ, doesnt it?

Lennox Lewis vs. Evander Holyfield II

Joshua vs. Klitschko is projected to be far and away the highest grossing fight in the history of British boxing
Here’s The Mirror’s breakdown of the figures that would lead to a £42 million fight:
•1.5 million pay-per-views at £16.95, generating £25.4m
•£4m from German TV company RTL (Editor’s note: RTL is Klitschko’s television partner)
•£1.5m from US TV (Editor’s note: The bout will air on either HBO or Showtime, but not on PPV in the US)
•£8m in gate receipts from a record 90,000 crowd
•£1m from sponsorship
•£1m from rest of the world TV rights
•£1m from merchandising

FYI, 8 million pounds is a little more than $10M US! That didn't even surpass Lewis vs. Holyfield in 1999! Joshua can stay put if he wants! Life goes on without him!

the brits are GREAT sporting fans
best sporting fans on the planet
they would not have supported Lewis ducking
they would not have supported Hatton ducking
and they will not support Joshua ducking
their numbers will drop, and Hearn knows it
their game, from here..... is about managing/mitigating that loss
only a small drop in numbers, is a HUGE win for them..... because the train will keep chugging on
whereas a HUGE drop in numbers, following a loss..... will derail the train
they will not fight Wilder until their numbers drop significantly..... which is why the brits need to step up and stop being mugs
it is clearly obvious who is avoiding that fight, and it is clearly obvious why
