I googled. Wasn't there. So basically you're repeating something you read in a forum but didn't verify the source. Nice try tho with the not hard to find bit. Notice how others post links or provide details like who and when. Just saying, it kinda helps the discussion and proves you're not pulling it out of your hind parts.
Comments Thread For: Hearn: Wilder-Fury PPV Number is Terrible, Absolutely Terrible

It's a pretty bad number for an American heavyweight who has been knocking dudes out.
The rematch will do big numbers though.
There is really is no doubt, that haymon has done a god aweful job buikdong any of his fighters into actual stars.
If wilder was top rank he would be doing 800k ppv sales a fight years ago.Comment

$25m generated on US PPV, $3.5m+ at the gate at Staples Center, who knows how much was generated on BT Sport Box Office in the UK, the event sponsors poneyed up how much, Fathom Events paying however much to host the fight at theaters, the closed circuit in bars/clubs across the country, the rest of the international TV money, the merch, and whatever else.
Dollar for dollar, Eddie Hearn can see that he really ****ed up not offering Wilder the 60/40 Joshua split to fight in the Fall.Comment

Before paying the outside parties, a $50m event isn't unheard of at this point. After the outside parties get paid, Fury and Wilder are likely splitting $25m-$30m between them.Comment

$18m would've made the fight in September, if folks are honest about it; that number has gone up to at least $20m nowComment

This is pathetic from Hearn who knows damn well the massive price difference between UK and US PPVS. He knows the fight he is comparing this too made nowhere the money Wilder and Fury just generated. This is just desperation and panic because both fury and wilder increased their stock have a rematch on their hands that generates even more money and everyone is talking about them and not Joshua.Comment
