Compare their commentary to SHO commentary just last week. Both broadcasts heaped praise all fight long for Gvozdyk and Fury, two non-SHO fighters. ESPN just doesn't do that. They need to replace Krigel ASAP. Bradley is getting better, but I wonder if they wouldn't be better off with Ward in his spot.
Ward is just too generic. He just says a lot of general statements. He just spits out platitudes and nothing specific or interesting. Very rarely does he give tactical analysis. His favorite statement which he repeats all the time is the following:

"It's the intangibles, It's the intangibles"

Thats because Gvozdyk and Fury were winning their fights. Pedraza at no point was beating Lomachenko.

Last not forget, every time they bring up Lomachenko's loss, they always bring up low blows and weight, and this and that. EVERY TIME. It's like they've been told before hand to give an in depth explanation of the loss every time they bring it up; It's a loss and it will always be a loss.

I remember they weren't even acknowledging the fact Murata was getting the dog***** beat out of him until it was like round 9-10, one of them even said that it could be a close fight.

I don't think Murata had won more then 1 round at that point. In fact he only won like one round the whole fight lol. Brant was destroying him over 1,000 punches per round and they were talking about how Murata was getting closer and closer to landing a big shot that could "change it all" LMAO.

Pedraza was winning some rounds, though.

And instead of showing his highlights after a good round they actually went back to a previous round to show more Lomachenko highlights.

Um okay? ESPN's broadcasting crew has been bad period. A TR fighter winning or not. They ride harder for their guy than other announcing crews. That part is not debatable.

Ward is able to still see things a guy like Bradley isn't either able to or just can't articulate it properly. Ward was good on his few ESPN cards that he called. But the real problem is Kriegel.
