I was in a bar . We got into talking about boxing.
One fool told me the Boom Boom Mancini vs D K Kim fight was a fake fight.
He said D K Kim was really an actor and he didn't die.
I just about slapped him but I did not.
I told him where that ****** story came from.
I told him some idiot wrote to The Ring magazine and asked Herbert Goldman in Ask The Historian section if boxing was fake like wrestling.
So, Goldman toyed with the idiot and told him ring deaths are fake.
Including Benny Paret and D K Kim. Goldman told him Paret was a Cuban actor. And that D K Kim was a Chinese actor ( not Korean ).
Guess what, some idiot actually believed it and spread it around.
