If a decision is close but I see I am in a minority or slight majority I respect it but if it's totally egregious you've got to go with what happened in the ring.

What's bad is that spineless fans endorse and celebrate bad decisions and are happy with them if it suits/saves their guy so it won't stop because half the audience is happy to see it. Controversial decisions used to be held in much more contempt; Lewis-Holyfield I had an investigation, made front page news and everyone was up in arms about it. If that fight and decision happens in 2018 most fans would be celebrating it and defending it. I was a huge Holyfield fan too.

TBRB is really no better than other rankings I know some try to elevate it because they don't like the ring magazine ownership situation but I never put much weight in their rankings
They are very pretentious though more so than the ring ever was

I will be honest...Long Time Boxing Fan but I have never EVER looked at at TBRB Ranking
I kind refer to the Belt Organization Rankings so I'm always on fight news ranking page and I typically go by that more than anything
These other Rankings mean absolutely NOTHING Now! R I N G use to have Merit but the blatant bias with Childish Writers who take time to BASH FIGHTERS on their Social Media Completely RUINED R I N G credibility IMO. Those Ranks are for Casuals as well as Sports Gamblers who don't following boxing as much so they go look up the ranking of guys they're not as Familiar with to see where they Rank
The only good thing about R I N G these days is Cynthia Conte interviewsLast edited by sicko; 12-07-2018, 05:40 PM.

They saw Wilder get ouboxed and gifted a false result. He lost that fight, its done now, cant be changed but that doesnt mean people have to believe it. Fury proved without doubt he is better than Deontay Wilder, so that website positioned them accordingly.
Screw the dodgy result, Wilder gets to keep his belt, he gets to keep his zero and he got to keep the money. But he aint getting the credit, that robbery can do alot of things but it cant take away what everybody saw and so everybody doesnt have to give the man the credit of a fighter who deserved to draw that fight. He deserved to lose it. Makes it even worse when Wilder fans start demanding it.

The difference here is that Fury was ranked above Wilder before the lay off and this was his first real test back...and almost everyone thought he passed it.

To prevent factionalism, three chairs will arbitrate input and weigh arguments to arrive at reasonable boxer placements. The chairs will serve as facilitators, conduits, and deciding parties as necessary.
The three chairs decide on the rankings. The other members provide feedback, but have no power. The chairs can either change their rankings or not. It is not like other rankings where everybody votes and the averages determine the rankings.
The chairs decide. Members say what they think. And the chairs decide.
It doesn't matter how many members they have, it is still three people that decide on the rankings.
They try to make themselves sound unbiased and legit by pointing to all the members. But those members have no power or vote. Literally.
Look it up, if you want. It is true. Three people. Rold, Starks, and the Italian guy. That's it. It is a complete joke. Rold and Starks both had Fury winning 114-112. And decided it was egregious for anyone to score one more round to Wilder.
And their own rules state if suspended for peds, you can't fight for a vacant title in your return fight. They changed that for Canelo, even after saying they wouldn't. The reason is "mitigating circumstances." Which in this case, was Rold, Starks and the other fellow deciding that they should ignore it.
They again broke their own rules, to drop Wilder.
You have as much power to change their rankings as all the non-chair members.
The Ring and espn actually have their rankings based on votes from numerous members to prevent bias. The IBO and Boxrec have computerized algorithms to prevent bias in their rankings.
TRBR has three people decide their rankings. And three people to decide on when the rules are adhered to and when they are totally disregarded. TRBR is a complete joke.
