  • Comments Thread For: Frank Warren: I Rewatched, Fury Beat Wilder By at Least 4 Rounds

THE ABSORBING THRILLER between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder on Saturday night in Los Angeles gave the sport of boxing the heavyweight division in particular a major shot in the arm. The eventual outcome, determined by the scorecards, gave it one in the foot. There can be no doubting that Tyson should have arrived back home clutching some excess baggage in the shape of the WBC world heavyweight title belt. That he didn't is a travesty that needs to be put right.

Oh, piss off Frank. I'll give you this, Fury should have won that fight on the cards - end of story.
But Frank Warren is the man who has done the absolute most to derail the undisputed championship fight, simply because he does not profit from it. He's like Wormtongue from Lord of the Rings, or a less funny Boris Johnson in UK Government. First getting inside Fury's head when he was trying to find the best fit promotion-wise for his come-back ("yes, Hearn can give you more money, but he won't love you like I will Tyson. You'll never be more than his bit on the side, but you're the best in my eyes"). Then adding money that he doesn't have to the help make up the $50million offer Wilder's team made to Joshua, knowing that he couldn't legally accept the offer as it would have meant being on BT instead of Sky - thus opening the door to weasel himself and Fury into the gap.
I've not got a problem with Fury getting an opportunity to redeem himself, but I hope Warren's financial problems escalate and his business goes belly-up.

I wouldn't mind Josh v wilder next. See if Josh really can do as good as Tyson did.
Prove he is number 1 like he and many think. But only problem is Josh is always dining on fury s leftovers

Well that was true with Wlad but Joshua and Fury are completely different fighters so whichever common foe they have, will have a completely different type of fight. Same as if Wilder had shared common opponents with them.
Fury aims to confuse his opponents and win easily on the cards. Wilder waits for one opportunity for a KO to show up and takes it. Joshua tries to create the opportunity for a KO instead of waiting for it.
If Wilder and Joshua fight I'm 99% certain it would end in a KO, and I'm 2/3 in my mind that it goes in Joshua's favour - but I definitely wouldn't rule Wilder out until the fight's officially over.
I think Joshua would have a harder time getting to Fury, but then Fury's just that bloody awkward in the ring that even master tacticians like Lewis and Holmes would have found him hard to pin down.

It will be like the Klitschko situation

Joshua will knock wilder out and the crowd will go wild

Hopefully fury holds his mental health together and we get a Uk mega fight

Beating Wilder is easier for Joshua than Fury. Wilder should quit boxing for cabdriving. With Fury, HW boxing has moved to the UK

                Wormtongue

It is a fact that is lost on some that Warren and BT does not mix with Joshua and Sky. The $50m argument is now nothing more than BS used to try and discredit Joshua or Hearn.

I hear you Frank and I was frustrated with the scoring too. However, talk to the british judge that had it 113-113, come on man, its ok to score it for the right man AND he is from your side of the pond. SMH.

I can't stand the fanboy element on this site

you casual fans should be tied up, plssed on, then dragged behind a horse

it is clearly obvious that Joshua is avoiding Wilder

until Poshua fights Wilder, he is just the second-rate holder of Tyson Fury's titles
