I agree that Pacquiao is over the hill now, and Loma is a top P4P fighter in his prime. But what weight are we talking about?
135 looks like Loma's ceiling, above that I'm sure Manny would more than fancy his chances of being able to hurt Loma.

If this is true, then no problem. If Loma's really looking to fight a prime, somewhat smallish welter, I've no doubt Crawford would oblige, and they have the same promoter.

If Linares can put him on the canvas, I'm pretty sure Pac can get in a flash knockdown or two. It would still be a competitive fight, but I would favor Loma if they fought at 135. At 140 it's a 50/50 fight.

140 was a fair catch-weight, because Pacquiao would be the 40 yr. old dropping weight, where Loma would be the younger man gaining weight! Loma didn't SWERVE this fight because Pacquiao is old! He did it because Pacquiao is strong! It's hard to believe that both Crawford and Loma never fought Pacquiao while he was signed to TR! SHAME!

Pac really needs to hang up the gloves before the sport retires him with permanent damage. He's old (especially at his weight) and has been in a lot of hard fights over the years.

People here are just legit haters.

They said lomachenko would get dominated by rigo who at the time was in a lot of peoples p4p lists. They said rigos defense was too good. They said his right hand would break Lomachenkos jaw.

They also forget to mention that the fight was offered to rigo at 126. They also forget that lomachenko bet his entire purse on the fight to incentives rigo to take it. They also forget he offered the fight to rigo at 130 and agreed to a rehydration clause.

Then when rigo got dominated it turned into, he was too big. Top rank paid rigo off. He was too old. Blah blah blah.

They also forget that lomachenko didnt care for the fight and the fight was only for the fans. The also forget that he said that the fight didnt matter to him because Rigo is not his weight division.

Pac is not his weight class and hes old. Itll be the same excuses as with rigo.

Risk not worth the reward? Loma would make great money against Pac. He probably should have fought him. I understand his reluctance, no glory comes from embarrassing a guy past his prime. I think Loma would box circles around Pac, and unless Pac got lucky and hung him, he gets made to look old and slow. I worry Broner is going to give him a boxing lesson, and Broner is a bum.

Ya well he fought rigondeaux two weight divisions up and didn’t have a problem embarrassing him. Boxing is all about taking opportunities and increasing your legacy and reputation to make big bucks. Pacquiao is still a hot commodity and if he can so easily dominate Pacquiao although he is older, history shows that he would take that opportunity. Last time I checked he’s 39 but if they do fight he’ll be 40+ but let’s see how he does against broner. If he does better than how Mikey fought broner than there really is no excuse if they match at 135. If Broner beats Pacquiao then I’ll give Lomachenko more credit and take back what I said.
