The Ring is owned by Golden Boy Promotions. Literally. How does anybody still take their ratings seriously?

After the fight they still have AJ number 1, Wilder number 2 and they moved Fury up to number 3. They can't get AJ's number 1 spot by fighting each other. They have to actually beat AJ in the ring to take his number 1 spot. When AJ fought Povetkin Ring had Povetkin at 3rd or 4th well above Fury at 7th.
Good post, actually from memory it was from beating Klit.... which was done is such dominant fashion.

Fury number 1 with wins over Klitschko and Wilder. Don’t need a judge to tell me who won a fight that clear

I don’t necessarily disagree with you; just trying to see the logic behind their ranking system.

I looked up Ring Magazines Annual rankings back to 2014. (Maybe I’m not looking in the right place).

                  2014:
                  Wladimir Klitschko, Champion
                  1.Alexander Povetkin
                  2.Bermane Stiverne
                  3.Tyson Fury
                  4.Kubrat Pulev

                  6.Deontay Wilder

                  2015:

                  6.Bermane Stiverne
                  10.Anthony Joshua

                  2016:

                  6.Joseph Parker
                  10. Dillian Whyte

How’s Fury go from Champion status to number 2 here for 2018?

I think that’s how I had it too. I cannot place Fury as number 3 after what he did. Either tie at number 2 with Wilder or just ahead of Wilder.

GBP have no horse in this race, so who cares?

Wilder is #3. Deal with it.
