Deontay Wilder on next bout: 'I don't want no one else but Tyson Fury'

Showtime Sports president Stephen Espinoza said his network will support a pay-per-view sequel and is looking forward to getting it done after the fighters have time to recover from such a taxing fight.

"We're not going to rush anything to fit into a certain timetable," Espinoza said. "Both of those guys earned a long, long rest, but you heard in Deontay's voice the rest isn't going to be too long. So if they said May, that would be great. June would be great. April sounds a little quick to me."

The problem is that if Wilder fights Fury, he’s likely not winning that fight barring a KO as the skill difference is too vast. And if Wilder loses (again), he’ll never get an AJ shot. Fury-AJ will likely be a 2 fight dral with potential for a trilogy and I dont see AJ sticking around the sport if he wins those...there’d be nothing left to do.

Fury-Aj is already the biggest fight to make by far in the UK and after this whole ordeal, Wilder isnt going to land either of them in the US. We all know Wilder lost and the UK now is looking at Fury-Wilder as the number 1 and 2 fighters at HW...as is most of the world

Wilder isn't landing exactly what in the US? He could actually land both fighters in the US. The rematch if it happens has Vegas written all over it. I give the UK having a very little chance of landing that fight.

And as for Joshua? Hearn said last time he is proposing a two fight deal with Wilder with one fight in the UK (April 13), and one in the US.

While the skill level is vast, he dropped Fury twice and there is always a chance he drops Fury any flush shot he lands. Dude could be down 11-0 and it still wouldn't matter lol.

Just in case anyone is confused, Hearn has no intention of Putting Joshua in against Wilder in April or any other time. Exception being if he sees Wilder's athleticism visibly slipping, then maybe in 2020 or later.

He's seeing this as an opportunity to shut Wilder out after next April and paint it as his own decision. Meantime, he only has the April date to come up with a 'reason' Wilder can't be on that card (be it a lousy offer, blame the rematch or whatever other opportunity sounds best at the time).

I never said AJ will go to the US first. In fact, I specifically mentioned the first fight will be in the UK and then the second one in the US. That was directly from Hearn's mouth.

Warren may not sound like he wants the return match in the US, but he surely never said he won't do a rematch in the US. Trust me, that fight is making MAJOR money in Vegas and Warren is far from a fool. They will take the rematch in the US.

Distant B-side? Distant B-side in exactly what? Wilder is no distant B-side at all. He still has the belt and the fight isn't going to do major numbers just because of Fury. The split for the rematch will be close to 50/50.

And btw, you said Fury won 10 rounds? Cool, he himself had it 8-4.

I think his just starting camp over there....his been out in Portland training and doing some promo stuff at the Under Armour offices.

His in NYC for the Canelo fight so will be in America until that’s over.
