March 2, 2018:
Deontay Wilder and Luis Ortiz are ready to go for tomorrow night’s WBC heavyweight title fight on Showtime, live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, but there were some surprises on the scale today.
Notably, Wilder (39-0, 38 KO) weighed in at just 214¾ pounds, his lowest number on the scales since his third professional fight in 2009.
He’s actually appeared headed in this direction for a while now, though. After bulking up earlier in his pro career, he’s been headed back down after a career-high weight of 229 for his 2015 defense against Eric Molina. He weighed 228¾ for his next two bouts, then 226¼, 222, and 220¾ last time out against Bermane Stiverne.
The last time Wilder came in under 220 was his first fight with Stiverne in 2015, when he tipped the scales at 219.

You weighed around 225 of muscles at some point deontay so that's your choice to go that low.
Fury maybe was 260 but dude pack at least 30 lbs of lard and water.
I never heard that type of excuse at HW before like let's imagine holyfield saying bowe was heavy doe

1st it was a broken arm/hand, then it was the pressure of wanting to get the k.o. then it was the referee should've waived it off immediately then it was the long count now its the weight all I'm hearing is excuses for a bad performance.
You fought a guy who had been outta the ring for 3 years, abused his body with drugs and alcohol, ballooned up to 300+lbs, you were in better shape on fight night he was fat as hell and he still beat you. and not even just that, you gassed before his fat ass did from missing all night.

As far as illegal streams go
As far as streams
“If ur wondering why Wilder/Fury was such a big deal on social media but 300kish buys doesn’t seem huge, that’s bc apparently 10m illegal streams happened world wide, including 1.9m in US & 1m in UK. Previously illegal streaming thought to be a small %. Hmm, maybe PPV is priced wrong...”

My point was that almost all fighter's go up in weight as they get older not down. The body adapts and bones grow in density to withstand extra weight, which in turn pushes weight up still further. Add into the matter that Wilder is 6'7", looks muscular (apart from his legs) and it just does not seem right that he weighs in at just 209lbs.
I was in good shape in my mid 20's, but in my early 30's I weighed considerably less, because I was doing a lot of running and burning a lot of calories.
Like I said it's likely that Wilder trained harder for Fury than he did for previous fights, burning more energy and therefore more weight.
