Technically they didn’t follow the rules, but in a fight as non competitive as that nobody really cared I guess.

As far as much harder KDs, consider Frazier vs Ali I, last rd.

Hard hitting Frazier flung his whole body along with his thunderous left hook flush into Ali's jaw. Ali got right up with no later claims of near resurrection.

Much harder punch, much greater recovery. And Ali did fight back the rest of the rd.

Every boxer deserves a chance to try to beat the no matter how hard they went down in my opinion. If they can't stand straight up by the count of ten then they lose but they deserve a chance to try.

It doesnt matter what we see though if the ref rules on it.

At least that’s the way it is 99% of the time. But I guess that’s the point. Sometimes it gets weird and the scoring seems random.

I wish we saw more 9-9 rounds but 10-8 is so common that at least we tend to know how that round will be scored, even if we dont agree on it.
