This is a really bad look for the sport of boxing, or at least it should be. Sad that boxing is so small time in the United States that the sports media doesn't care about the safety of its athletes. This would have sparked a national discussion about concussions and brain injuries if something like this happened to an NFL player.

You likely couldn't imagine the circumstances Stevenson grew up in, much less survive them. Desperate people do desperate things. Not that it gives them a pass.
