Comments Thread For: Luis Ortiz Accepts Joe Joyce's Challenge, Wants Him Next

On Saturday night 2016 Olympic Silver medalist Joe Joyce improved to 7-0 in the pro ranks with a first round knockout of Joe Hanks (23-3). The fight opened up the Deontay Wilder-Tyson Fury Showtime pay-per-view broadcast. Also on the pay-per-view was Luis Ortiz's 10th round knockout of Travis Kauffman (32-3). Ortiz took control of the fight early and dropped Kauffman three times in a dominant victory.

Very bad move by Joyce. Don't run before you can walk. The heavyweight is very unforgiving and he can get seriously damaged. One step at a time.

Judging on performances Ortiz will outbox Joyce early but Joyce would over power him and get a late stoppage because he doesn't tire.

All those fights Ortiz mentioned are good and I think this isn't as much of a mismatch as some may consider it. I still expect Ortiz to get the W though.

Plus, they both can't speak English for nada!

I like Joyce and rate him more than most seem to but facing Ortiz next would be too soon. Maybe towards the end of 2019. He needs more competitive rounds under his belt first

Am sure Joyce can hold his ground till the later rounds and pull the string.

Luis Ortiz will school and KO Joyce. The only advantage I give Joyce is stamina.

I see Ortiz being motivated and coming to the fight in great shape.

I like this matchup but would rather see Ortiz vs Whyte.

Joyce jumping in the deep end of the pool and will get soaked.

Got to respect him though for being willing to test himself.

I love the fact that Ortiz is always quick to accept a challenge, he's not out there looking for a easy fight.
