Comments Thread For: Sam Maxwell: I Want To Give Ohara Davies a Hiding

Sam Maxwell is out to make some noise on the Josh Warrington vs. Carl Frampton undercard in order to set up high-profile clashes in 2019. The former Team GB star has already made serene progress to 9-0-KO7 and having already faced the likes of Vasyl Lomachenko as an amateur, Maxwell is ready for illustrious names in the paid ranks.

Why are people still chasing O'Hara Davies? Yes he looked good initially, but has convincingly lost the only 2 of his fights that meant anything. Let's see if he can build himself back up before he becomes a fighter worth chasing.

I get it. He’s a name, a bit of a twat and any half decent boxer can box circles around him. Can’t say I’m surprised but if he loses anymore he’ll become a British level gatekeeper.

I see your point, but if he loses again he'l probably retire. As well as being a one-dimensional boxer who's a bit of a twat, he seems like a flat-track bully who quits when things get tough. He admitted quitting against Taylor, and looked in no danger of making any effort against Catteral. Davies only looks good against club-level boxers who walk onto his right hand.

I follow him on social media he seems to lack the dog necessary to go far In this game. I wouldn’t be surprised if he retired. He was embarrassing against Taylor and it’s like you said against cattaral it looked like he really couldn’t be assed
